Garden Grove Unified School District was named a California Honor Roll District and 38 GGUSD schools were named to the 2026 California Honor Roll by the Educational Results Partnership (ERP), a nonprofit that uses data to measure and accelerate school success. Only 22% of California’s schools were recognized.

“GGUSD continues to shine as a top performing district,” said Board of Education Trustee Teri Rocco. “This recognition to our district and 38 schools is evidence of the district’s success in preparing students for lifelong success. We are proud of the exceptional staff and proven instructional practices in GGUSD that ensure students graduate ready to thrive.”

The 38 GGUSD schools named to the 2026 California Honor Roll include Allen, Anthony, Barker, Brookhurst, Cook, Crosby, Evans, Excelsior, Faylane, Garden Park, Gilbert, Hill, Monroe, Morningside, Murdy, Paine, Parkview, Palomino, Simmons, Stanford, Stanley, Sunnyside, Warren, Woodbury, Zeyen elementary schools; Alamitos, Bell, Doig, Irvine, Jordan, Lake, McGarvin, Ralston and Walton intermediate schools; Garden Grove, La Quinta, Pacifica, and Rancho Alamitos high schools.

The annual Honor Roll is part of the national Campaign for Business and Education Excellence. The Campaign engages business leaders in recognizing successful schools and educational systems that are preparing students with the fundamental skills needed to be successful in the workforce and in life. The goal of the Honor Roll is to find and highlight successful schools and districts and encourage collaboration among educators on best practices for raising student achievement.

This is the twelfth year that ERP has completed the Honor Roll, which recognizes top public schools, school districts and charter schools that have outperformed their peers in closing achievement gaps, particularly among higher-poverty and historically disadvantaged student populations.
