Family Resource Center
Garden Grove Unified School District is committed to serving the academic and socio-emotional needs of all students and families. The district’s first Family Resource Center (FRC) was launched in August of 2017 to connect families with important community resources from trusted partners.
The Family Resource Center provides an array of resources in areas like emergency needs, food, health care, housing, immigration, legal resources, mental health counseling, and more. It is staffed by district community liaisons who speak multiple languages and are trained on serving the district’s diverse student population.
In the 2021-2022 school year, GGUSD opened four new Family Resource Centers to significantly increase the level of assistance and care available to GGUSD families. Now, there is a Family Resource Center located in each of the district’s five trustee areas.
GGUSD Family Resource Centers are meant to be a one-stop-shop to connect families with the help they need most. The district wants families to know there is always a safe place to turn for help.

Community Resource Centers
Garden Grove Unified School District is proud to provide families with important resources and services through our district’s five Family Resource Centers which are open during the school year. While our Family Resource Centers will be closed for the summer (May 31 – August 2), our district wants to ensure that all families are informed about where to find assistance during the summer months. Our community has excellent Family Resource Centers that are open year-round and provide an array of services to the community, including food assistance, health care, housing insecurity, immigration, legal resources, mental health counseling, parenting classes and more. Please see the attached flyer for additional information about the community-based Family Resource located near your child’s school. If you have any questions, please call 714-663-6084. Thank you.
